Most things in life are moments of pleasure and a lifetime of embarrassment; photography is a moment of embarrassment and a lifetime of pleasure -Tony Benn

Had wanted to post pics of my eyelid op but its still in my sony camera, furthermore, I stopped keeping track of my 2nd week progress, so I think I better post some other photos I took from the cam Mavis gave me.

Last week was a rather eventful one. On fri, I went to Toys 'R' Us with SY and SH after school and we decided to take some pictures since I wanted to test out my new camera anyway. I realised that kids nowadays really have it good, I mean, look at their toys! They even had toy ponies that could support their weight!

Then I forced SY and SY to do a duel with fake swords, In which SY gamely played the part while SH looks compelled. Lol...

Saw a couple of interesting toys:

How I missed climbing into one of these in Parkway's old Toys 'R' Us to play when I was still a kid.

These kitchen sets looks really fun and modern! They even have pizza & sushi sets...unbelievable!

Always wished my house was big enough to place one of these inside.

Now they even have the shaded version to keep your kids shielded from the harmful UV rays... How pampered these kids are nowadays!

A cute little girl I saw...she's really tiny in real life.

SY looks like she's very shiok...lol.

On Sat, I met SY (Sweeyee) and I decided that we should go to the museum since its so boring to do shopping or watch movies every single week. Since its free admission and something out of the ordinary, we took a walk inside and rediscovered what our little island had to offer.

First off, we caught these displays of white, pole-like stuff by some Japanese artist. There was some explanation but we can't make much sense about how it reflects her work, but I guess artists being the artist they are, us laymen can never fully understand their perspective.

I don't know why the hell SY looks so pissed. Haha...

I know I'm very flexible. Hee hee hee...

Museum was really fun, I learnt a lot about the history of Singapore as well as some elements from the flim, photography, food and fashion galleries. The only thing that spoilt my day was the sprain on my left leg, which caused me to limp for pratically the whole day and 2 days after. However I just saw a chinese physician yesterday (cause the pain became unbearable) and she did acupuncture on my leg, so it's getting better now. My virgin acupuncture experience taught me a precious lesson: Never to get my legs sprained again.
I tell you, when the needle poked a total of 4 times with 1 over cm depth into my ankle, I felt excruciating pain that words alone can't describe... I practically screamed till the physician's daughter have to shut her room door, I also almost fainted. It's more painful than all my piercing, tattooing, braces and surgery experiences combined. After that, I resolved to never let myself sprain my ankle again. Ever.

That's so much for now. Hope these photos entertained!

Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dream again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living - Anais Nin

Do you get the feeling that sometimes, you just have a million thoughts running through your mind and you just feel so overwhelmed so much so that you just stare into space without knowing that you are stoning? Something like feeling pensive, but not actually deeply thinking about something, just letting your thoughts take control slowly, like mental yoga? Slow & relaxed mode...not likel etting your thoughts taking total control? Well, ok, ignore me. I just had this moment & then I realised that the moisturiser thats supposed to go on my legs are on my palm for more than 10 mins already, while I was happily staring into nothing at all.

Just heard some dedication over the radio, & this lady was calling from a cafe, her cafe...wow. Opening a cosy cafe is like, my lifelong dream. You know, owning a quaint little area at a side street, away from the hustles and bustles of our urban city. Ok, my concept is not exactly quaint, but something very me, a bit loud, a bit romantic...a crazy mix...well, a place where people can just come and hang out, relax over hot vanilla lattes, colourful shakes, junk food, fattening cakes and guilt-filled indulgent foods...of cos, I would also include food for the health-conscious in my menu...to make business lucrative. ;p My menus would be beautifully designed and crafted, the foods specially invented by me, the drinks uniquely blended with names so out-of-the-world, you won't be likely to forget the time you placed the straw into your mouth to savour that fancy drink you just ordered (that with careful inspection, is just a normal coffee-machine churned latte...or blender-blended banana milkshake...Okok, I'll add a few things here & there for that touch of aesthetics. Opps.). I won't charge a lot, just enough for me to earn a 5-figure sum a month & drive my dream merc within 3 yrs of opening my cafe. Hahaha! I'll throw in discounts for my friends & give my best and good friends special dining privileges... Dreams dreams dreams... don't know whether these dreams would ever materialise. I'm too much of a spendthrift to save enough $$ for these dreams, ain't got rich parents nor silver spoons. I guess I'll need more passion and drive so that I would eventually motivate that spendthrift side of me to tone down & save that mucchhhh muccchhh needed cash.

Ok, don't mean for this post to be too long anyway. Next post would be about the details of my recent blepharoplasty procedure and some pre & post-op pics. Should be up next week or so, when I stop procrastinating and being lazy.

Feeling utterly bored at home waiting for my eyes to heal...so I figured, why not just share some of my favourite videos? It is also a good time for me to share all those videos I posted on youtube. So here they are:

First up...Britain's Got Talent

That's Paul Potts for you, the winner of Britain's got talent. His singing sends shivers down my spine... He the kind of person that makes you want to root so hard for the underdog.

Connie, a very cute girl and the closest fight to Paul Potts in the competition. Don't think she is as good though, but she's nevertheless really adorable & makes me want to hug her so much.

A delightful old man, a touching presentation. Made me tear.

I swore I almost laughed my guts out watching this shit. LOL!

Ain't seen anyone who could dance like this, not even on "So you think you can dance" or "The Dance Floor". Simply awesome.

Next up...Funny videos

Taught me many new ways on how to use the word "Fuck". Witty & simply hilarious!

Didn't know that cats could be washed in such a ridiculous way. Cats are simply too cute for words aren't they?

I don't know if this counts as funny, but I think this fat cat really deserves a squeeze from me for being this cute.

A very cheeky but smart pug & its sneaky antics.

Here it comes...my personal taped videos:

Jacky Cheung 13 July 2007 concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium

The evergreen "Yi qian ge shang xin de li you"

The classic "Wen bie"

Love the lyrics to this song, "Qing shu"

One of my favourite performances from his whole concert cos he just sang this song with so much feeling... that's "Qiu yi nong" for you.

Don't mind my future boyfriend serenading me with this... "Mei tian ai ni duo yi xie"

From his popular musical, Snow.Wolf.Lake., that's "Ai shi yong heng"

I've featured this before & I'll feature it again, my cousins in their dance face-off. Don't mind the bad lighting.

Random videos:

My favourite MTV... reveals the closet romantic in me.

Just makes me want to get my ass up & dance. Who moves like that?! It's crazy.

That's so much for my video sharing session. Enjoy!
